How to use  apple cider vinegar and baking soda properly?

We can misuse apple cider vinegar (ACV) and baking soda. Let’s start with the basics, baking soda has a pH balance of 9, and using it alone or with water will eventually cause the hair to become fragile due to dehydration (even with an ACV rinse after). ACV alone will restore the pH balance of your hair, making it shinier, healthier, and even gives your hair more body & shape. Also, ACV is an anti-fungal agent, and mixed with other anti-fungal agents such as essential oils tea tree oil and rosemary, which will assure you no dread rot or fungus/mold growth! This will also add natural oils that have been stripped when using ACV and baking soda :). Baking soda does help regulate the pH balance in your hair also, but only with other ingredients such as ACV (not water). This is why I mix the four together before applying it throughout my hair (⅓ ACV, ⅔ hot water, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, and a few drops each of any essential oils you would like to add [I use tea tree and rosemary]).On the downside, due to the slightly acidic pH balance of ACV, using it too often (more than once a week) can have destructive effects. This is why I wash my hair every 1-2 weeks, which also helps the locking process because washing your hair too often can cause more loose hairs and the loosening of dreadlocks.
